Glory Be
A short doxology of praise
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.
History and meaning
The Glory Be is a short hymn of praise to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Christians have used forms of this doxology for many centuries. In the Rosary, it follows the introductory Hail Marys and closes each decade.
